As a big fan of the Raf in WW2 and WW1, we decided to create the 617 Royal Air Force Squadron.

Ops: Once the squad is fully commissioned for battle action, we will be flying on Il2-1946, mainly with Mossies and Hurri's. A Spitfire Mission will be included here and there. This will continue until the folk of the IL2 community roll out the Lancaster. Secondly, we will be flying on Rise of Flight using the Sopwith Camel and Dolphin. On ROF, we will not fly as the 617, but as the RAF 45.

A short history can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/617_Squadron
A short history of the No. 45: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No._45_Squadron_RAF

Note: Some missions will be escorts for rockdoon and the bomber pilots.

Tally Ho chaps, and remember; The Hun, flies out of the sun!

cheers
